Summary of this Book...
When a teenage girl Isabella (Bella) Swan moves to rainy town Forks in Washington state, to live with her father, while her mother travel with her current boyfriend, she expect it to be the most boring thing she ever had to do. Her expectations changes when she meet mysterious and extremely beautiful Edward Cullen in one of her biology classes. Up until now, Edward was successfully keeping his origins- him and his family were a vampires- but meeting Bella awakes a feelings he wasn't prepared for. He becomes overly protective when she's around while his beautiful, vampiristic features attracts Bella, causing her to fall in love with him without knowing who he is actually. Soon after they announce their relationship in public, by coming to school with his car and meeting each other's parents, which causes a set of troubles not only for two of them but also Edward's family who's been hiding their origins successfully for centuries as well as Bella's best friend, Jacob, whose family belongs to a different kind- a werewolves.
This type of Book is good for...
Lazy Sundays. It is one of those books that you can read more than once because it's rather relaxing and doesn't require a lot of thinking.
I especially liked...
Characters appeared different and more appealing than in a movie. Even though the whole plot is very accurate, I found book to be much better regarding descriptions of each, especially Edward.
I didn't like...
The way romance between Edward and Bella is implemented. I understand it had to be a different kind because he is a vampire and she is just a human, but it was, kind of, weird especially because at the beginning he stalked her (he was visiting her room and watched her sleeping without her knowing it). After he realized she was utterly in love with him, he left her with excuse that he is too dangerous for her. I mean come on! You don't usually make people fall for you just so you can dump them because you are too dangerous for love.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Buy another books in series because I wanted to see if the movies stayed consistent to books. I was surprised to see how accurate they were.
This Book made me feel...
Like I'm seventeen again. I usually don't read young adult writing because I'm not young adult anymore, I got over my teen ages and feelings long time ago, but Twilight was quite nice refreshment especially because it started a new wave of reading preferences with its characters.
The author of this Book...
Stephenie Meyer is the author of the #1 bestselling Twilight Saga and The Host. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English literature, and she lives with her husband and three young sons in Arizona.
I recommend this Book because...
This was a bestselling book about vampires in 21st century and it was highly addictive reading, doesn't matter if you belong to young or old audience.
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you are into romance but not into mythological creatures such as vampires then you probably shouldn't expect too much from Twilight Saga.
