Summary of this Book...
Kinsey Millhone is hired by a family whose son has just been released from a correctional facility. He and his friends were involved in the murder of a fellow student a decade earlier. At the time of the murder a video was made of a sexual assault and it was suspected that the girl who was killed was killed because she had the tape. There is a lot more to it that unwinds a decade later as Kinsey deals with that case along with the serial killer who almost did her in in the previous novel, Ned Lowe. This is, sadly, the last in the alphabet series as Ms. Grafton passed away December 28, 2017. I will miss reading more of Kinsey's adventures and wry observations about human nature. This is a wonderful series that I started to read in the early 1980's with my Dad. I have enjoyed every single book. I waited to read this one for a while. I don't know why, maybe it was a feeling that I had about it. I saw some of the reviews written on Amazon before Ms. Grafton's death. They were cruel and unfair. This book is definitely right up there with her standards for all of the Alphabet series. People write reviews and show off, I guess. I hope Ms. Grafton never saw any of that nonsense because she's written a fine book here, just like the previous ones in the series. As I say, I will miss it. I have little use for some of the readers on Amazon, though.
