Eighteen-year-old Serafina Malloy lives in a world ruled by a cruel king and must make difficult decisions that will decide the fate of herself and her family.

I enjoy dystopian books and I am fascinated by the workings of Aristocracy and Nobility hierarchies of other countries. This book combined both elements for a fluid read.

The last couple of chapters seemed rushed. I think the ending could have been drawn out just a little more to prolong the build-up for an even more satisfying conclusion.

After finishing this book, I have decided to explore other works from the same author while I wait for the next installment.

This book kept me engaged and held my attention from the beginning to end.

This is a good book for fans of speculative fiction, romance, or maybe even the sci-fi genre. It contains adventure and mystery with a dash of romance. Overall, this book has a great storyline with characters that are believable. Reading this book was a nice way to spend a rainy day.
