I picked up this book because the series had been recommended to me by several friends, both readers and viewers of the television series based on the books. While I found it well written and with a great amount of detail to the description, I just couldn't get into the book. The protagonist didn't interest me, her love interests seemed dull, and the pacing was really, really slow. I fully admit that I'm probably not the target audience for this book, but I've read better, more engaging romance stories that were paced better and where I did feel much more invested in the characters, so I don't think I'll be continuing on in this series.
