This enchanting book is a poetic collection of myths, poems and prayers on the theme of cycles of day and night. The poems are written by many authors from different cultures and eras. I enjoyed the rather meditative air of the writings by poets like Rumi, Sappho, Rilke, DAg Hammerarskjold, Prince Uhara etc.

All of the works celebrate aspects of sleep, dream, sun, creation, awakening, evening etc. Beautiful reflections.

Interspersed within the poems are the editor J. Ruth Glendlar's art works: collages, batiks, and mixed media that compliment the poems. Lovely.

It is a book I will come back to often as there are pieces that one can ponder.
