This is an excellent 365-day devotional by the author of "Jesus Calling." The daily devotions are uplifting and based on the scriptures listed at the bottom of the page. Some days it was as though the author wrote just what I needed to be encouraged on each day, especially just after my mom passed. I felt like God spoke to me through this book and it was a great read.


Note: I read the hardcover book so the scriptures were just cited but I imagine that an ebook version has links to make it easier to look up the Bible verses.

Christians looking to grow closer to the Lord. Anyone looking to be inspired and encouraged that wouldn't be offended by lots of references to God.

Also wrote "Jesus Calling" and I believe there are other books in the series, although I've only read these two.

It's a wonderful resource and very encouraging.

This is the second book I have read by this author and both were highly encouraging. I bought two hardcover copies of this book while visiting my mom last year, with the hope that we could both read a bit each day and talk about it via telephone, presumably after she finished her chemo for cancer. Sadly, she didn't live long enough to read even a page of her book. But this book was a great comfort to me. I didn't know it would be the day she passed away when I started reading the book that morning but it was. I guess I feel like this book was there for me when my mom went to heaven.
