Summary of this Book...
Wow. Oh, wow. I loved this book! It is the story of a 17 year old girl who is pushed off a bridge in Puget Sound, Seattle. The hospital does what it can, but she is brain dead. However, they discover she is 16 weeks pregnant, and under Washington State law, this means they have to keep her alive on a ventilator until at least 32 weeks to give the baby a chance of survival. The story is told from two POVs: Olivia, the teenager and Abi, her mother. Through this different perspectives, we meet a vast array of possible suspects for who pushed Olivia. I was kept guessing righ up until the moment we learned the truth. It’s a great suspense story! But it’s so much more than just a great suspense/psychological thriller. The writing is extraordinary. There are some fresh, exciting descriptions, and the prose is so rich and absorbing. I can’t praise it highly enough. I loved this book!
