This is the story of Morgan Carter, a work at home guy and a prepper. The company that he does work for sends him out of town to do a job. Morgan is a few hundred miles from home when an EMP strikes knocking out all electronics. His journey home is an interesting read. He needs to walk through most of Florida to get back to his wife and children. Along the way he picks up a few good people and meets several with bad intentions.

This is a good read for anyone who is a fan of prepper fiction. This is an action packed story.

I like that the author showed what people would become without law and order. I am happy to see that he didn't candy coat what the worst among us would do under these circumstances,

The misspellings and poor editing at the beginning of the book are annoying but it does get better as you read on.

I am think about reading some of the other books in this series.

I felt great because the story stayed true to what life would be like for Americans if we were without all the modern gizmos.

A. American is a great story teller who improved his writing as we progressed the this tale.

I think a none prepper could learn a lot from this book on the types of skills and equipment one would need to survive.

I highly recommended this book.

I feel that the series will evolve along with the writer's skill. The underlying story is great. The character development is outstanding. And there are "some characters" in this book.
