A curious doctor with a pregnant wife finds himself in a lot of trouble when he starts asking the wrong questions about patients with unusual symptoms.

Anyone who likes lighter science fiction with a heavy dose of mystery.

I liked that some of the science had base in reality, tracing back to WWII. As a bit of a history buff it was interesting in particular to see someone talk about the atrocities committed by Shiro Ishi.

Sometimes I felt like that historical connection should have been pushed further.

I also wouldn't have minded if the protagonist had made decisions that were just a bit smarter.

It has a little something for everyone. There's mystery, romance, some thriller elements, there's science fiction, and a little bit of body horror.

It could have dived a lot deeper into the premise that it presents.
