This is a Region 1 version of season 30 (out of of 31) from the longest-running sitcom in the world, Last of the Summer Wine. Follow the senior delinquents and their friends in the Yorkshire Dales as they pass the time with various shenanigans. This disc contains 10 episodes, including the New Year's special that brings in the new character of Hobbo. Because of their aging years, Cleggy and Truly are now supporting characters. The main trio is now made up of Hobbo, Entwistle, and Alvin.

If you need a bit of cheering up this show is just for you. The gentle comedy is perfect for all ages.

I was pleased to see that Cleggy and Truly are still included although they are less active.

I wasn't crazy about the new character of Hobbo. He reminds me of a less funny, more annoying Foggy (1976-1985, 1990-1997).

I've been slowly collecting the Region 1 DVDs as they are released, so after I finished this one I preordered the next season.

Although this series still lifts my mood, it just doesn't get as many laughs as it once did. Knowing that this is the penultimate season saddened me.

The featured trio in this season are:

- Russ Abbot plays Luther "Hobbo" Hobdyke, a former milkman who likes to think of himself some type of secret agent.

- Burt Kwouk as the electrical repairman and fortune teller, Entwistle.

- Brian Murphy returns with his childlike personality and silliness as Alvin Smedley.

I think that any die-hard fan of Last of the Summer Wine will still enjoy this show.
