This is an awesome tale in the great Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. (Note: I think this book is best enjoyed if the reader has read all the previous books in the series in order first.) Mercy and her husband's pack encounter a new challenge from Underhill along with a big threat from within the werewolf community. Battling on two fronts while trying to keep the romance with her husband Adam alive, Mercy unravels Fae riddles and manages to save the day in unexpected ways. It's packed with supernatural adventure, suspense and romance.

People who like adventure, suspense, romance, and paranormal stories.

The characters and plot. I just love Mercy.

The beginning felt a bit tedious but it had been a while since the last book and the information was necessary to best enjoy the story, which once the action picked up, was superb.

Convince the author to get to writing the next one.

Is wildly creative, and highly published and I suspect most of her Mercy Thompson books made the NYT best seller lists.

It was a highly enjoyable read.

The graphic violence and intimacy scenes aren't for everyone.
