This is a book of inspiring devotionals that starts each section with a "text" from God (based on a Bible verse), has a story lesson, then supporting Bible verses, a little note space for you to "text" back to the Lord, and a joke.

Christians, particularly women, and people looking for a more lighthearted than usual set of devotionals.

The story/lesson parts and the relevant scriptures. I liked the personal stories best and there were a lot of them.

The intro texts... most didn't make sense. That's just not how anyone I know texts. If I didn't already know most of the Bible verses they would have been a mystery.

Have them rewrite the book without the texting theme. I think it would be a better book.

Throughout the book I found myself praying a lot and thinking more about the Lord, which is exactly what I wanted. A lot of the stories brought out emotions and they varied a lot. Most of the jokes were cute.

Pam Farrel runs Love Wise Ministries with her husband and co-authored a series of creative Bible studies (which is how I first learned about her).

It was uplifting and inspiring.

I borrowed the paperback version of this book from my local library.
