Summary of this Book...
Note that I listened to this book on Audible, but this page wouldn't let me review an audiobook, so I'm reviewing the paperback. If you purchase this or any product through a WdC link, you are helping to support WdC. This audiobook is rated 4.8 stars on Audible and the paperback is rated 4.7 on Amazon. The audiobook is 5 hours and 18 minutes. The paperback is 194 pages. This book is the 3rd in a series of 6 in The Wicked Witches of the Midwest Fantasy Series and number 20 in this universe with a number of shorts and other books from The Wicked Witches of the Midwest Mystery Series between this book and the 2nd one. I didn't care too much for the 1st book, but the series (The Wicked Witches of the Midwest Fantasy Series) does seem to be growing on me. Hemlock Cove is getting a new wishing well and Mrs. Little sponsored it. However, Aunt Tillie decides to mess with her nemesis by weaving a spell so that the first wish made at the new well, presumably by Mrs. Little at the opening ceremony, will come true, but then turn bad. Unfortunately, Aunt Tillie was a bit tipsy at the time and made a minor mistake in her spell. Now Hemlock Cove has a flying boy, a nerd with a harem, a neighbor with a captive Star Trek star, and a Mrs. Little is the most popular person in town. Bay and her boyfriend Landon, along with the rest of the Winchester clan have to find everyone and get them to go back to the well to reverse their wishes while Aunt Tillie finds a way to reverse her spell.
This type of Book is good for...
People who enjoy fun, easy reads and stories about witches, though this series doesn't go into detail about how spells are created, etc.
I especially liked... | ||
I especially liked the sense of mystery about the flying boy because at first we don't even know if he's real and once we do, we don't necessarily know why he's flying. Also, I didn't care for the narration of the 1st book in this series, but either I've gotten used to it or the narrator (or possibly writer) has improved.
