Summary of this Book...
A story about a "poor little rich boy" and his little disabled sister who is actually a genius, and a mysterious half-sister that appears and helps them both onto the road to self-actualization.
This type of Book is good for...
Young people and those who are young at heart
I especially liked... | ||
The way it dealt with a little girl who was very bright on the inside but just needed a little help.
I didn't like... | ||
Not much to dislike. I've seen a book from this same author that dealt with a rather "adult" subject, but this is perfectly kid-friendly and safe.
This Book made me feel...
Hopeful and satisfied.
I recommend this Book because...
I like the subject: it's unique, creative, a little mystery, a little family drama, and it's actually like a story that I would dream up myself.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I read this on Hoopla, but according to the Amazon reviews this particular ASIN has the exact same awful digital typos as what I read. Those typos definitely threw me off, starting with almost the first sentence. So I would actually recommend buying the physical copy rather than the Kindle.
Further Comments... | ||
The story was originally titled Father's Arcane Daughter, and by the end of the story we realize the deeper meaning behind the word "arcane" and it makes sense. I prefer that to the more simplistic and trite modern title.
