Holly who is partners with another PI detective own an agency because she wanted to have her independence. Her business partner in the agency is sick so she is on her own.

Receiving a clan about a missing person and agreeing to try to find this person Holly embarks on an adventure into a mystery that winds and twists bring her into the words of several characters who seem normal every day folks. Two of these people are a married couple in their eighties who have numerous medical issues. They are helpful as much as possible, but they have secrets. The college professors are well known and respected at the college. Their private lives remain private.

Other cases of disappearances are brought to Hollies attention as she diggs deeper into this mystery. Eventually Holly finds herself in a situation she may not be able to resolve.

Readers who enjoy detective, mystery, thriller, and character based stories will enjoy this book.

I liked the way this book is written because it is as if I am inside this story observing the details and cheering on the good guys. The way details are reviewed kept me interested and fully engaged.

I liked all of it but found some parts describing gory details challenging because of the human situations.

After reading this book I looked for more books that had Holly in them.

I felt satisfied and relieved the mystery is resolved and the bad guys were taken care of successfully.

The characters in this book are interesting, like your next door neighbor, and friends, but some of them should be avoided. The personalities interested me and kept me involved in their lives.

For readers who like darker stories that eventually see daylight, this book will keep you reading.

If you have a weak stomach get the tissues and tighten your seatbelt. This book is not for the faint of heart, but it is easier to take in reading the story than watching a movie version.

There is very little if anything I didn't like bout this book except...It's a secret. If I could give the characters and writing more than five stars I would.
