Summary of this Book...
From the book jacket: Daily is a girl coming of age in LA in the late sixties, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing on the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling but it's the rock n roll she loves most. By the time she's 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of needless beauty that makes people do crazy things. And getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne. On the eve of their first tour, his girlfriend, Camilla, finds out she's pregnant, and with the pressure of impending fatherfhood and fame, Billy goes a little wild on the road. Daisy and Billy cross paths when a producer realizes that the key to supercharged success is to put the two together. What happens next will become the stuff of legend.

I wasn't a fan of the storytelling style, but it works.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
I watched the series on Netflix first, then I read the book. Then I went out and bought the music. haha.
I recommend this Book because...
Ultimately, it's good storytelling and it's a good escape.
Further Comments... | ||
The story is told from character perspectives in the first person and in that regard it mimics the storytelling of the Netflix series. I enjoyed the Netflix series very much and the music is classic for me. There's a lot of human emotion the book that readers can connect to.
