This book examines the types of books that are being challenged or banned. It explains why and how banning is done by various individuals, parents, various groups, political officials, political groups, and other means.

Public libraries, public schools especially are dealing with over whelming issues surrounding the banning of books and topics people feel should not be read by young readers.

Although these groups are vocal and insisting their views are heard however, according to this book the majority of Americans oppose book bans according to recent polls.

This is a good inside look at the history of book banking.

Readers who are interested in book history especially the history of banning books.

I liked knowing about this situation. It was thoroughly explained in this book. Knowing the history of book banning is an eye opener for me.

This book is fine. I don't like book banning because it infringes on freedom of speech even though it is directed at the written word.

I felt like abolishing book banning and encouraging freedom of speech.

I felt sad about the many books that were being banned.

This is a well written book.

People should know about the book ban situation because it infringer on peoples freedom to decide for themselves, their families, and also allows someone to decide what will or will not be available to read.

The only reason I wouldn't recommend this is because someone might try to have it banned.

There are subjects that I or other people might not agree with or want to discuss or read about, but for me freedom of speech is important and therefore I hope this book helps retain our freedom of speech. If I could give this book a higher usefulness rating I would give one.
