This book wasn’t what I was expecting. After reading previous books by Miranda, I thought there would be a lot more goofy stories, a lot less seriousness. But, I’m so glad I was wrong.

This book is about Miranda’s chronic illness that led to her literal collapse at home. She speaks with honesty about how difficult life — living — has been. Mostly, though, she gives us some wonderful treasures to help us whenever things get tough. She talks about self love and self care, and the whole time she sounds so compassionate to her readers. How generous to write about this tough time she has gone through. I love that she has turned her horrific experience into something that can help and inspire others.

And then, there is the boy from Bristol. But I’ll leave him for you to read about.

How compassionate and caring Miranda is. Also, the treasures she writes about which helped her to get through her illness are so useful. They actually helped me to calm myself in a really stressful situation recently, and I handled it with more skill than I ever have before.
