Cece is planning her wedding in her future in-law's summer home in Montana. She's in love and has a rosy outlook on her future.

Along comes Garrett, a one-time friend of her fiancé's who has inexplicably been asked to officiate the wedding.

What unfolds from there is a story that spans over fifty years. Told against the backdrop of global warming, the years unfurl. Sometimes shocking, sometimes shockingly boring.

It's only life, after all...

If you want to think, not only while you're reading but long after, you will enjoy this book. I won't give away the mind-bender at the end of the story, but that's included in how I feel about this novel.

There are points in this book that are laugh-out-loud funny.

The story was boring at times.

Also, hopeless. Not as in the novel is hopeless, but that life is, or can be.

Talk it over with a fellow reader.

Sad and gleeful at turns.
