This album is considered a classic and for very good reason - it is incredible. This is one of those prog rock albums that comes as close to classical music as it is possible to, without losing its rock and pop basis. This is possibly one of the best rock albums ever made. The opening and closing 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' suites are fantastic musically and just linger and hold musically as well as with the sparse lyrics. Then there is 'Welcome To The Machine' and 'Have A Cigar' decrying the music industry, while 'Wish You Were Here' is a song about absence meaning so much. In my opinion, rock albums do not come much better than this.

People who enjoy real music and actual music for the sake of the music.

Everything. There is nothing here not to like. It is that damn good.

Listen to it again. And again. And again...

It is, in my opinion, the greatest album made.

This album has a special place to my family as well. I won't bore you with it, but this album is just something that brings us together. That opening guitar sound still sends tingles down my spine.

Music rarely gets much better than this.
