I've been told that my writing is "organic". I suppose that means that it's clear that my characters originate in my gut?

Learning. That sounds corny, possibly, but it is absolute truth. I feel cheated if I don't learn something during the course of a day.

I suppose I should start with least favorites/least explored, and that would be AU fantasy/sci-fi.
