I grew up in Delaware, near the eastern shore, and spent my childhood delighting in the smell of salty air. I write creative non-fiction short stories about my younger years and the impact of the Delaware marshlands on my life. Now I live in Florida and dream of the Delaware Bay. |
I usually draw from experiences and add a little fiction to the mix. Some call my writing "folksy". |
My own. |
Reading, writing, drawing, old musty stuff, ie, bookstores and antique shops, face it...just about anything! The photo to the left is of a young lady holding a watercolor I painted of her cat, Arlo. She looks so happy I had to share. |

I have too many to list, but I just finished The Enchanted Life of Adam Hope by Rhonda Riley, her first book and a local author. I could not put it down...amazing! |
Over time this has changed and continues to evolve, but I still lean toward Austen and the Bronte Sisters...guess I just like that time period. |
My current fav...allpoetry.com Makes the tears well and a lump in my throat every time I read it! Bet you will, too. |
"ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in" - leonard cohen I think we all need to be "less perfectionist", but it is a hard thing to do. |
Anything from the 60s and 70s. |
The Yearling, old, black and white, and still makes me sob no matter how many times I watch it. |
At present, all of them are on PBS on Sunday night...Call the Midwife, Mr. Selfridge, and The Bletchley Circle. I love Doc Martin. |
