At 55, I'm actively re-creating myself. I'm a self- and peer-educated writer. My favorite stories make me fall in love with the characters. I love writing stories that make me smile, laugh at myself, blush, and cry–but not all at once. I live in the US, and "come from" IL, IA, and GA, but NC's been home for the past 32+ years. To quiet my inner critic, I remind my muse that There Is No Audience. My therapist told me years ago that to move forward: Dare To Suck. Life's a challenge. |
Evolving. |
I've never had style. Why should my writing? Maybe you can tell me? |
Reading, editing, ornithology, baking, knitting, wild animals, vegan food, nature, weird stuff, and very occasionally, humans. |

AE Housman... I've never studied poetry. In college I discovered Housman's "The loveliest of trees, the cherry now/is hung with blooms along the bow..." the only poem I've ever memorized–unless you count song lyrics (some of which I do). |
