I'm a wife, mother, and Corporate Controller, aka., Glorified Babysitter and Bean Counter Extraordinaire! Though I've done a significant amount of non-fiction writing in University and business, fiction is something I didn't try until about 3 years ago. I love it, but it's just a hobby for the pure pleasure of it, and not something I'd venture to do professionally. That said, I do want to learn how to write better and this is the main reason I decided to join WDC. |
I'm not sure if I have a type, except to say I lean towards unfinished chapters scattered amidst bad poetry. |
My writing style is as yet undefined, and I'm enjoying this discovery process where I get to wear as many hats as I choose. |
My interests are quite varied and include, writing, cooking, research, travel, gardening, reading, quilting, and listening to music. Oh, I have to add blogging! Even though my blog is sorely lacking at the moment, it's fun to have when the mood hits. |
Science Fiction, Fantasy, Romance, True Crime, and Suspense. |
“The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.” ― Ayn Rand |
Pretty much anything classical, 80's pop and heavy metal for the memories, classic rock for the greatness. Right now I'm loving The Piano Guys, and a local band called The Heavy Hands. |
Schindler's List, Jean Cocteau's La Belle et la Bête, John Boorman's Excalibur, Alien/Aliens, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Band of Brothers, The Abyss, and Raiders of the Lost Ark to name a few. |
Years ago it was classics such as Murphy Brown, Cheers, and the Golden Girls. I rarely watch TV anymore, but when I do it's for The Big Bang Theory. |
