About Me
It's obvious that I'm young, not finished with my schooling, and am still naive to the workings of the writing world, but I have a heart for it. If the stars align, I'd like to end up earning my PhD and become a creative writing professor at a liberal arts college somewhere up north, though I'd have to manage to get through this hellhole they call high school first. I'm wordy, opinionated, a little dark, and severely different, but my words eventually come together for me.
Type of Writer
Fiction, Poetry, Prose... I like thinking and I tend to drift into the realm of "twisted." My mother calls me her Poe Child.
Writing Style
Unrefined. I haven't had a single legitimate writing class in my life, nor were my grammar classes stellar. I'm also wordy.
Interests
(This is only for my writing; my personal life is of no interest to you.) Controversial topics are always fun to delve into, as nothing truly is black and white. Along those lines, I also like to create characters and thought.
Favorite Genres
Right now I'm really digging the work that I've read from Enlightenment thinkers and classic literature.
Favorite Books
250 characters? Are you kidding, writing.com?? No; I'm protesting--that isn't enough. I've written grocery lists with more words than that. Do you realize that many book titles contain MULTIPLE words??? Jesus.. I've already used 250 words by now:)
Favorite Authors
Hawthorne, Poe, Twain, Dickens, Rice, Voltaire, Bacon, Dressen is Eh, Binchy, Hemingway, Taylor, Green... I really don't feel like I've actually read enough fantastic books to have the right to go on..
Favorite Poets
DICKENSON IS QUEEN~~ Poe and Frost are rather fantastic, also. Truthfully, I haven't done much poetry lately and I'm rather bad at names, anyhow.
Favorite Quote
Forgiveness is the Fragrance that a violet sheds on the heel that crushed it- Mark Twain I think people who create and write, it actually does flow-just flows from into their head, into their hand, and they write it down. It's simple -Paul McCartney
Favorite Music
Beatles. Marina and the Diamonds. Florence and the Machine. Lana del Ray. FUN. The Indigo Girls. Kesha, though she's a lyrical nothing (I'm just there for the glitter and base-pound). Norah Jones. Tori Amos. I don't really know; I'm an oddity.
Favorite Movies
I dunno, I just like movies.
Favorite Shows
Fricking Nothing. Everything that's interesting on the television nowadays has become trash. I flick on the screen and my choices are Pawn Stars or something called a "Honey Boo Boo Child." How about we not...
