I'm currently seeking my masters degree in library science, with a YA focus. I prefer to read and write horror, sci fi or fantasy stories, although I'll review most genres. My few exceptions are religion, romance, and erotica (so sorry). I'd like to finish a novel, but I can't seem to finish a short story without editing 50 times. For now, I'll stick to shorts, and hopefully I'll figure out where I'm going wrong. |
I'm a short story writer and (possibly) novel writer of dark fantasy and horror. |
Hmmmmm.... gothic? I think I'm a bit like an underdeveloped Stephen King, mixed with a more florid Daphne du Maurier. |
I love to draw, paint, swim, bike and take long walks. I love dogs (especially mine) and I love books. I am paralyzingly afraid of spiders. I guess that last bit is more of a fearful obsession than an interest. |
Horror, fantasy, supernatural, speculative fiction, drama, and science fiction. |
Horror: "Rebecca", "We Have Always Lived in the Castle", "Jane Eyre", "It", "Interview with the Vampire", "Ender's Game", "The Lord of the Rings", "The Dune Chronicles", "The Princess Bride", Frankenstein, "Beowulf", "The Magician's Nephew" |
Gabriell Nix, Neil Gaiman, Orson Scott Card, Joanne Harris, Juliet Marillier, Stephen King, Ayn Rand, Edgar Alan Poe, The Bronte sisters, Thomas Hardy, Mary Shelly, Ann Rice . . . I love so many authors it would be hard to list them all. |
Robert Frost, Sylvia Plath, William Blake, E.A. Poe. I don't really like most poetry. I feel like it isn't long enough... |
"I was working on the proof of one of my poems all the morning, and took out a comma. In the afternoon I put it back again." Oscar Wilde "A woman must have money and room of her own if she is to write fiction." Virginia Woolf |
