I'm 54 & a mother of a 30 year old now! (two sons aged 29 & 30) I was born in Melbourne Australia & grew up in New Zealand. I returned to Australia and have spent almost all my life here now. I've travelled to New York City though! - and I've been to Europe. My husband & I published a short book in Australia in 2009 - he is my artist (digital graphics). |
Micro & Flash fiction - short stories are my favourite kinds of writing. |
Smart, snappy, witty.. emotive.. dark.. funny... and I hope smooth..like dark and creamy chocolate.. (oh, I wish! Lol!!) |
Writing, of course - an enduring love ~ gardening (yes, even the weeding) cooking: things like cupcakes to a good old Irish stew & I've even had some success with home made bread! |
Biographies; good novels of any genre; |
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes; The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery; Just two of my favourite book club books I've read this year (2011) |
Toooo Many to Mention! Such a shame isn't it.. neary everyone knows the relatively few famous artists and or musicians... but there must be millions of writers. |
Not really my thing.. I should be ashamed really .. I do have a volume of Sylvia Plath's - given to me by my son. |
1) "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Oscar Wilde 2)"You will always be fond of me. I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit." — Oscar Wilde (The Picture of Dorian Gray) |
Contemporary & jazz - occasional classical pieces... |
Heat with Al Pacino & Robert DeNiro.. for starters... there are just too many good movies... |
