| I grew up in a home that didn't feel much like home. I was abused and manipulated and watched my mother lose herself to substance abuse at the age of 6. I was taken out of that house and started living with my dad and my brothers. My brothers weren't as affected from the traumatic experiences as i was. I started having nightmares of the things that happened to me and I wrote my first poem about it at the age of 13 in 2021. I write as a hobby but also as an escape from the truth. |
