Favorite books has my favorite genres because I wanted to write more, and I don't really have favorite books.
Favorite Books
When I'm reading I prefer historical fiction, specifically things focused on race, thrillers, usually a mystery with a good twist at the end and (no oxford comma here thank you very much) sometimes fantasy or dystopian novels.

Erm... I don't really read poetry as much as I write it. But if I had one definitely would be Maya Angelou.
