I was an English major and TA in college, then later tutored athletes because the pay was good. I never became a writer, though I do use the talent for grants and legal codes. It's rather dry. But, I can really review a piece in that regard. I have flashbulb memory, which is very odd. It does give me very vivid and accurate details on certain parts of my life, so I do use it. I've done stand-up once, and would love to do it again. |
More of short story guy, but you never know. I tend toward humor, but sometimes I can do other darker writings. |
Garbled. |
Being anywhere other than here! That's sincere, too. I can write anywhere, and need a vacation in the worst way. I would really like to visit, or visit once again, some far off places. But I have to realize I'm not free of my work life... yet. |

Crime and legal dramas or thrillers, but I can read any genre. At times "brain candy" but at others, you need real depth. |
A Confederacy of Dunces by John Toole. He won the Pulitzer posthumously, because he killed himself when his book didn't publish. If you never read the book, at least read the foreword written by the man who finally published the novel. |
It would be a very long list if I made it, so I'll just say I enjoy Stephen King to Hemingway and beyond. If I picked one, it would be Toole, because he wrote my favorite book and his story is so very sad. |
I liked Dylan before liking Dylan was cool. I almost groaned when I heard it referenced in "Back to School." |
"When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him." ~ Swift |
For the most part, old time rock and roll. I've seen -- and been backstage -- at hundreds of concerts. |
If I had to pick one, it would be Fandango, Kevin Costner's first movie. (Unless you count his wrists the The Big Chill.) If you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch. Mr. Destiny is great, and for pure laughs, Jekyll & Hyde - Together Again. |
This changes with the frequency of a CB radio, so I haven't a good answer. But, it needs to be gritty and real, or so absurd you have to wrap your head around it. |
