I've been a mother for 23 years, am now a grandmother to a beautiful little girl named Olivia. Being "mother" is the defining aspect of my life. I'm not sure that's a good thing, but it simply IS. Two of my girls are in their early 20s, one is a Jr. in high school. I love fellow writer Tom Harper and share a life with him. I work and I'm tired too much, need to focus more on getting healthy. I write. And there you have it. |
A little of everything; my passion is short stories, mostly psychological thrillers. I breathe through my blog. |
I try to take the best of the authors I love, infuse my own "take" on where I can break conventional grammer rules and viola! |
I love to read and write. I love to watch crime shows, both true and fictional. I like to decipher the plotlines and decide where I'd change it, envy and marvel at what works. I also love to laugh and make sure I get the chance to do so often. |
Mystery is number ONE! Literary and then perhaps humor- |
The Sound and the Fury was a life-altering novel for me. I fell in love with William Faulkner. When I was 12 I had my first experience like that with a book: A Wrinkle In Time. |
William Faulkner, Madeleine L`engle, Alice Walker; Sue Grafton ROCKS! So do Jonothan and Faye Kellerman. |
Maya Angelou OF COURSE! William Blake was AMAZING for his time-such vision! And then there is good ol' Edgar Allen Poe for both his stories and poems. |
"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." Ernest Hemingway |
Billy Joel for his autobiographical writing to music; Maroon 5 trips my trigger these days-maybe I'm not so old! I still love my '80s classics! Gotta enjoy some country sometimes. Songs from my favorite musicals, too. |
I love the musicals-Hairspray, Rent...such amazing messages in those! Dirty Dancing is my all-time favorite. |
