| I grew up in a rural, farming community in Stanwood, Washington. We lived a ways out of town (up where it didn't flood all the time), and I spent much of my childhood on the back of a horse, or in the woods behind my house (it was really just a strip of forest between out development and the golf course). I think much of this time spent outdoors, and on my horse, shaped the writer, and person, I am today. |
