Since I joined WdC 5 weeks ago, I don't look at FB and Twitter much. Nothing can beat WdC!

Sorry to say I "waste" some time on FB too. I enjoy catching up on others' doings but like "Lady Lyn" wdc is my true love.

I post everyday and share things with my family and friends, probably not my most intellectual side either but I really feel that the publisher is going to have accept that there are many aspects of me or he'll discover how ornery this old lady can be.

Facebook could disappear and I would be okay but if WDC did I would definitely have a break down.

It's good to see you blogging again.

You could try going to parks or out for walks to increase your downtime without people that wouldn't bust your budget.

There are all different types of love indeed and the love between a mother and child is powerful.

Romeo and Juliet was required reading for me in school and because we were made to read it I stubbornly resisted connecting to it. I am not a fan of his writing.

We are lucky to have so many options available to fulfill our desire for love and different genre takes on it.

To post or not to post? Questions from a new generation.

BC - Social Media: Let's discuss the pros and cons of using social media for your writing. Do you consider yourself a business owner and the product you are selling is your book. just like any other product on the market in a very matter fact manner? Or do you see it as a necessary evil and do what is recommended for sales but secretly wish it wasn't necessary? Pros and cons of each aspect? How do you see it affecting your private life?

I just recently had to suspend/curb my own Facebook use, mainly because I do NOT showcase my most intellectual/creative writing side on there. It's too easy to just share the pics and thoughts of others. It's also easy to loose sight of the bigger picture and flood my own wall with a plethora of posts that pertain to and seem to appeal only to a certain demographic. I'm lucky enough to have a variety of FB friends and so I see myself as having a unique audience, but that doesn't give me the right to just freewheel all my thoughts and ideas. Sure, I have the right to, but does that make me part of the problem or the solution?

I've always been a social media dabbler. I can easily go months without posting anything but when I come back it's generally with a vengeance. I'd like to know how many people have just muted my Facebook posts/notifications. I bet it's a lot.

If the social media hub of the internet crashed today, I'd probably shed a tear or two, but I'd get over it very quickly.
