Thank you so much for sharing a little bit about yourself. I can't imagine it's been easy, but it sounds like there's lots of love in your family.

Since 2020, I've tried to tap more into my spiritual side and I've been trying to get better in thanking the Lord for the things I'm grateful for on a daily basis. (I might make it part of my habit heroes

) Today, I'm thankful for time. I had time to work on cleaning my house, which is a struggle to find with my struggle and so I'm grateful that it was made available to me.

I love your choices of books listed. Such strong women characters!

I agree with StephBee There's a huge fan base for Little House, series. I'm a little envious she got to go to the 50th Anniversary.

I imagine growing up with four sisters did influence your reading, and you saw similarities between you and some of these characters.

I have 4 daughters and 1 son. But, yeah, I noticed the similarities in their favorite characters. I can see Little Women and Little House characteristics. Although they really got into the TV show The Brady Bunch! Not a classic novel ... but sister-power holds strong.

Thanks for sharing your books. I read the first book of the Little House series. I thought it was very interesting and shared a lot of information about a time that has now passed. I even went to the Little House 50th anniversary. Loved the fan base! I did read Anne Frank's diary. Very poignant. Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Not all Americans place so little value on friendship. There is a lot to be said for the joy of children,and seeing the world through their eyes.

I am sad to hear you are missing your family and culture so much, wishing you lots of luck with your schooling so you can return soon.

You're so right about it being depressing when you get bored of doing something you usually enjoy. I think we have to reboot ourselves when that happens, work on something else and come back to it. It's good that you don't actually throw out things that you're working on. There are always some gems in there.

Hopefully your friend understands that you do have limitations and there isn't much that can be done to break them. I think social media can be a good thing to keep in contact with people.
