| Today has been pretty good. I did get up late and I missed the gym but I did one in on long review. I aslo did a touch of research on building a website. I learned things like what is a DNS, an IP address, a web host and a domain name. It is still a little foggy but I am understanding. I was prompted to do this after reading the latest For Authors NL. Vivian, the editor for the issue, referred to a few books on what a writer should have. One thing that was stressed was that a writer must have a web site. When I looked on the net, I found there are two methods of doing a site: HTML and CMs or content management system. HTML is basically code but CMS is not. On one site, the best web hosts that were in the top ten were listed. A host called Bluehost came in second and is associated with something called WordPress. I watched some YouTube videos too. On the WordPress site, that was likewise associated with Bluehost, outlined the basics of web building and gave different prices for different plans. The cheapest plan that is around $2.99, is regularly $7.99. I’ve already decided on a domain name – ChrtistianFantasy.com. First I need to post short stories for people to read and eventually purchase. I plan to distribute to people chapters of my book. Some people from church are interested in my premise. My friend down the street is interested too. I pray God’s hand is in all this planning. I did not hit the PS4 today. I chose to review instead. I went to the store for some beverages and I was told Jim was working. He eventually came home a little after 3 pm. Well, I have to go. It is almost 8 pm. Goodbye. |
