Just for the record, as someone who lives in Los Angeles (and relatively close to some of the "hot spot" areas), the protests both prior to and during the "No Kings" events were neither riots nor insurrections.

There were definitely some incidents of specific individuals taking things too far (like the widespread images being circulated of a couple driverless cars being set on fire), but the protest activity was — and continues to be — entirely within the ability of the LAPD and LASD to manage without the need for additional reinforcements from the federal government. The leadership of both of those law enforcement organizations (which are two of the largest and best-funded in the country) has said as much, and I've had friends at those protests who have all reported that the activity was mostly nonviolent aside from those few isolated incidents.

It's definitely a serious situation to be sure, but I thought it was worth commenting on because Los Angeles is not experiencing nearly the level of chaos and disorder as certain media outlets and political operatives would like you to believe. Take it from someone who lives here and is able to go about their business as usual!

Yes, do you blog now? I scrolled down and I didn't see any comments or likes. That would be discouraging for me. I wonder if you change the rating if that would help you get exposure. Someone else said the other day that their blog wasn't listed as active and the answer was the blog's rating.

The Big Beautiful Bill!!

Operation Midnight Hammer! Go Trump! Nevertheless, there was further antagonism on Iran's part. Trumps's reaction?-"Shut up or we'll bomb you again!" Trump has been so successful even CNN is singing his praises! The stock market has reached an all-time high, inflation is down significantly, and the Big Beautiful Bill on the way to being passed on the senate. Now I realize there are more expenditures. But they are well placed. It funds the police and ICE agents as well as other measures that are essential. But just look at the positives! Tax cuts across the board and Medicare and Medicaid crack down. Now when the GOP says this I will refer you to Mike Johnson who basically said it is targeting those who are scamming the system like those who leach off of tax paying US citizens while those cheaters are well and able to work and provide for themselves.

I've been having mess-ups at work. But I am learning and feel much more confident about how to mix most of the drinks. All coffee blends require a powder base. I did not know that. Also with cold brew unblended drinks need to have the cold brew and the powder mix in the blender. I only work one day this week for five hours.

Well, that's it until tomorrow. Bye!
