Since my old blog "Everyday Canvas " became overfilled, here's a new one. This new blog item will continue answering prompts, the same as the old one.

A trust lawyer is who I used for my living trust and will. It was expensive but so worth it.

Still, that's not enough. The lawyer's office has to know that the trustee has passed on, and for that, they'd need the death certificate, and in my case, I bought the plot near my late husband's and also bought my shroud since my sons wouldn't know what to do and what and where to purchase such stuff. If a cremation is an option, then other arrangements could be needed.

Also, not everything can be put in a living trust, such as IRA accounts and other items. After us, every single thing can be a problem. I only hope we can make it easy for our children.

I have to agree with you and the one thing is hard to talk about is the Living Will or Living Trust because family aren't comfortable talking about it, My fiancé is having a hard time dealing with that situation with his mom and she doesn't want to talk about the Living Trust and getting it fixed before she passes. It is a hard subject to talk about.

For me, I need life insurance and a Living Trust because I don't want to burden my kids with it. I know eventually I would have to talk to my daughter about it and I understand it won't be an easy one to talk about but she has to know how to handle all this. I'm going to have a someone I trust help her get through it too.

The issues were always there... we just didn't know about them.

Now that we can know about them, do we care?

Algorithms mean we hear about news that others want to hear. Does a tree make a sound when it falls where no one is listening?

Competency matters as does a heart. I used to fly Delta over other airlines because when something went wrong their staff was trained to serve and make it all better. That matters to the customer.

Nowadays, I prefer to fly most any Asian airline... for that same reason (plus comfort).

I only pay rent and p.o. box in Montana. Water, electric, heat is included. I don't have a car. By keeping it simple I avoid many of the everyday mishaps others face.

Traveling however...

Prompt:
Have fun with these words: sudden, tepid, intervention, brown, despised, gateway, and creature.

Who says I can't try writing horror !

What If From a Gateway...

a *sudden crack in our *brown earth's seam
a *tepid whisper in the breeze of a dream

an ancient *gateway, now again revealed
with secrets *despised and power concealed

and the guardian awoke, eyes hollow and deep
as a *creature, rising from timeless sleep

it moaned an *intervention, or a warning clear
"Go and fix things!" I heard, despite my fear

then, the creature grew still and world turned gray
and his shadow danced in the fading day

was this a promise of fortune—or my doom,
for in that portal, the unknown did loom,

so I slowly stepped back and turned away
the choice was mine at the end of the day
