I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.
I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.
I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.
It's hard for me to pick a favorite, too, but I also like and remember Robert Frost's "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening." That's the one I decided to memorize to recite to the class back in grade school. It still often pops in my mind. I think it's the easy rhythm and rhyme and the great description so well woven in. The only favorite book I remember is from way back also, "The Little Airplane." Maybe these are because I'm still a kid, even though seven decades later.
my phone does it all but I am constantly frustrated with the amount of text messages I received during the election and now with Christmas approaching. I'm spending too much time blocking numbers and reporting them as spam.
Prompt: Trust
What kinds of actions or signs make you believe someone is trustworthy? And if trust is broken, how can it be rebuilt?
One lie after another is a good sign not to trust someone. Actually, finding out someone is also lying to their friends about someone else is a good sign not to trust someone. Never trust a narcissist. They pretend to be normal to get you to trust them and then hit you in some bad way again.
True Sincerity would be the only way to rebuild trust. That probably means laying out the truth no matter what position it puts you in. Besides, every situation regarding trust may be different. You need all sides of any story to know what is going on within a situation. Sometimes not trusting someone is the best way to live.
Use these words in your entry:gratitude, ungrateful, turkey, food fight, and sweet potatoes.
The turkey was not ungratefull when I turned it loose. I'm always surprised how animals can show their gratitude for the smallest kindness. Anyway, sweet potatoes don't make a good food for a food fight{/b
This is more than one sentence.
The best I can do for today. Crazy things going on here today. We cleaned up the tree, it took two days. We can get down the driveway again. Another windstorm coming according to weather for tomorrow. Bye for now.
