I'm considering writing a rant. Either in this blog or on Facebook. I hear very little from my family. I'm still pissed at a facebook post in which my brother referred to me as crazy and suggested the entire family thought I was crazy. No wonder families estrange themselves.

My Growth and Gratitude Journal arrived yesterday. This journal was created by Kami Ahmadi, a Baha'i. It covers three months, with a weekly review at the end of every week and a quarterly review at the end of the journal.

Each day contains a quote from the Baha'i writings. Following each quote is space for reflections, with questions to inspire thought. There is also a place to write something I am thankful for.

In addition there is room to write someone I want to pray for. The last item is a space for "Today's Note". I will add the items I am grateful for to my thankful Thursday gratitude list and post them to my notebook.

Once you get out of a habit --for whatever reason--it's hard to get back into it. I'm attempting to get back to writing and meditating, because it's easier for me to write when I meditate. I ordered a meditation and gratitude journal from the Baha'i Publishing Trust, which should arrive in the next week or so.

How do I pick my favorite scripture verse when the Bab, Baha'u'llah, and 'Abdu'l-Baha have revealed and written so many. Maybe I need to pick one verse from each and write about them individually.

One of my favorite scriptures by the Bab is the Remover of difficulties. It is about four sentences long, but it is inspiring and helps me overcome worries.
"Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praise be to God! He is God! All are His servants and all abide by His bidding!

I read the prayer at the beginning of the small prayer book. It begins with "Blessed is the spot" and realize that the Long-term care facility I live in is blessed. It is blessed because God's name is mentioned and praised even in a whispered prayer.

It's the day before Valentine's Day and I've finished my small box of chocolates. I've got other treats stashed in a Christmas bag, which I 'll get out and put in a container I've got on the dresser. I have to finish cleaning out the bed side table before March 20, when the Baha'i New Year starts.
