Backup your data (at least twice) and don't give out your backup flash drive to your nephew by mistake. I got lucky this time, and so did he.*RollEyes*

Real life intrudes on occasion, as it has with me for these past few weeks, but it's time once again to get back to work before the holidays commence. I've been working on a few pieces outside of the horror genre and I hope to upload some of them later this week.

Hope everyone has a great holiday season!

Stay frosty *SnowMan*

Lately, I've been busy contemplating my present state of procrastination. I know I should be working on doing research for some of the stories I'm working on, yet for the last few days I've just felt like staring off at my fiber optic Xmas tree while eating Cheetos. This is not good, neither for my waist nor my mood. My usual remedy for these situations involves stream of consciousness writing, but outside of this blog, I've typed about two sentences that aren't much different from what Jack Torrance was working on at The Overlook. Thankfully, I'm without an axe, bourbon, ghosts, and a nagging significant other, so the neighbors should be safe for the time being.

Here's a ditty I wrote some years ago about writing that comes to mind tonight:

The parasitic particles of pen and parchment; marrow fed they are of posturing prose and prosperous parables,
always privy to my passions just beyond the lighted path.

Stay frosty out there ...
