PROMPT January 12th What fashion trend makes you cringe or laugh every time you see it? Have you ever wanted to design your own clothing or accessory? What would you design and what features would it have? I can’t say I’ve ever been a slave to fashion. Of course in the sixties in the UK it was obligatory to wear the mini skirt as short as was considered decent, or not. Stilettos with really high heels and pointed toes made a mess of my feet when I was really young. I think they are one of the most ridiculous of fashion items ever invented. In the eighties the padded shoulders and full curly hair was pretty out there. Just looking at old photos one can pick the eighties a mile out. Now I only wear what’s comfortable. I would design scrubs for all women. Hospital staff look so comfortable in their crumpled scrubs. They are usually pale blue too which is my colour🤣 An added plus for scrubs is you don’t have to iron them. |
PROMPT January 11th Write about a recent movie, documentary, or TV show you watched that you did not expect to enjoy, but actually did. Give your readers some recommendations! For literally years I’ve heard about Breaking Bad. The looks of disappointment when I spurned people’s excitement as they told me some catch phrase from the series which I just didn’t get. Well 2020 did its job and had me scrambling for something to watch. The idea of starting a series from the start was daunting and when I was offered for free the whole box set I couldn’t resist. So hubby and I scornfully slipped episode one, series one into the DVD player. A month later we mourned the end of the series. So much so we started watching the whole five series of Better call Saul the prequel to Breaking Bad. |
