Thanks for your comments. Yes, you’ve right about things changing with age. I never thought I’d find myself incapacitated. Weird isn’t it? I’m sure we all have had the sense that ‘old age won’t happen to me!’ It seems life had other plans.😂

Nice entry.

Like you, I don't do clothes shopping anymore, and with the arthritis, I stopped walking outside, but I walk inside the house and around the yard. Things change greatly as we grow older and older.

Hats off to you! I don't think I could do what you did. On the other hand, having a lot of people fixing things while you are taking care of the kids and trying to keep them safe would have its own downers, too.
Anyhow, so glad you could and did do all that! That's some feat to be proud of.

I agree the cheetos aka the man who wants to be Hitler and Putin rolled into one, his ignorance will definitely have global impacts.

I've been getting as much as I can in order before my surgery on Monday, February 3rd. I'm having my right knee replaced followed my left shortly after. Writing didn't fit in for me either. Looking forward to seeing more of you in the months ahead.

weather where I live is also unsettling. Took the dogs out for a walk yesterday had some sunshine but today is fog and rain on top of a couple feet of snow turning everything to slush.

Every year I look forward to something called January Thaw. This year we just had a new blizzard every couple days. If the thaw does not show up properly in February, the sap won't run properly from the trees less maple syrup probably. Anyway, forecast says sunshine tomorrow. If we have a freeze in the night all slush will turn to ice.

The feeling was amazing indeed. The first night was the scariest but after that I found so much joy in each task I tried. I've surprised myself on more than one occasion, Yes I can do anything I set my mind to doing.

I can’t say I’d be tempted to go camping on my own, so I think you’re very brave. It would have given you so much confidence knowing you succeeded. Afterwords you must have felt as if there was nothing you couldn’t do on your own.

Writing group day

Today is Friday, the day when my creative writing group meets. There are ten of us in the group, each reads something they have written that week.
A few have expressed interest in exploring WDC as I bore them constantly singing its praises.
I took along an article written by Max Griffin called Just one point of view, as it is a subject we discuss often.
I received a review this morning of an old story of mine called Brooklyn Bridge which I also took along to the class to demonstrate what an in depth review looks like. I certainly didn’t take it to show off as the review wasn’t glowing by any means but within it were some great insights for improvement and I cherish them.
I thanked Dave for taking so much time and effort.
I have written my first part of the campfire story with Toucan and wish on reflection there was an edit button where I could rectify a few things.
Maybe we get a chance to edit before we enter it as a finished product, I hope so.
The weather is till warm and lovely, hot weekend expected. Maybe we’ll get rain next week.
