Thanks for your comments. Yes, you’ve right about things changing with age. I never thought I’d find myself incapacitated. Weird isn’t it? I’m sure we all have had the sense that ‘old age won’t happen to me!’ It seems life had other plans.😂

Nice entry.

Like you, I don't do clothes shopping anymore, and with the arthritis, I stopped walking outside, but I walk inside the house and around the yard. Things change greatly as we grow older and older.

Hats off to you! I don't think I could do what you did. On the other hand, having a lot of people fixing things while you are taking care of the kids and trying to keep them safe would have its own downers, too.
Anyhow, so glad you could and did do all that! That's some feat to be proud of.

I agree the cheetos aka the man who wants to be Hitler and Putin rolled into one, his ignorance will definitely have global impacts.

I've been getting as much as I can in order before my surgery on Monday, February 3rd. I'm having my right knee replaced followed my left shortly after. Writing didn't fit in for me either. Looking forward to seeing more of you in the months ahead.

weather where I live is also unsettling. Took the dogs out for a walk yesterday had some sunshine but today is fog and rain on top of a couple feet of snow turning everything to slush.

Every year I look forward to something called January Thaw. This year we just had a new blizzard every couple days. If the thaw does not show up properly in February, the sap won't run properly from the trees less maple syrup probably. Anyway, forecast says sunshine tomorrow. If we have a freeze in the night all slush will turn to ice.

The feeling was amazing indeed. The first night was the scariest but after that I found so much joy in each task I tried. I've surprised myself on more than one occasion, Yes I can do anything I set my mind to doing.

I can’t say I’d be tempted to go camping on my own, so I think you’re very brave. It would have given you so much confidence knowing you succeeded. Afterwords you must have felt as if there was nothing you couldn’t do on your own.

No rain

Missed quite a few days recently, however I’m here now.
This week has been busy with babysitting and helping my granddaughter move house. Doing the novel review has taken a lot of my time as I read the novel before reviewing chapters one and three for the Rockin’ Reviewers. Norbandus seemed to like the review and awarded 10,000 points to me.
My daughter Emma has been unwell too this week and I’ve been worried about her.
So consequently I’ve not written anything for my creative writing class tomorrow and not even baked a cake!
Still not 100% well after the cold, still coughing.
Went to sing at the old folks home on Tuesday and struggled with the cough.
Even managed to go to aqua this Wednesday. Weather still unseasonably warm. No rain😢

A little rain

Raining again! Not enough but at least the garden looks a little fresher. Went around the garden with some all purpose fertiliser today.

Election Day

We are waiting to see the results of the general election here in Australia. Looking like the liberal party is in the lead at this time.
Daughter and son-in-law came for dinner and brought belated Mother’s Day gifts.
I have a lovely throw for the sofa and a voucher for a facial, so spoilt.
Feeling loved.

Rain! This is the first rain we’ve seen for months. Everyone, especially the farmers will be happy.
Feeling much better now, still coughing though. Had the flu shot yesterday.
Lit the fire and going to do a bit of writing today.

Mother’s day

Mother’s Day 2019. This will be my fiftieth year of celebration of being a mother myself, however none of my three children are available to me. My son lives too far away, my two daughters are on holidays. Anyway my husband and I walked around the local lake. The weather is fabulous, the sun is shining and it’s about 24 degrees.

Wednesday today, Grandson’s birthday, he is 23. There is a birthday dinner at his Mum’s tonight but I’m still sick so we won’t go; don’t want to spread the germs.
Won 2nd prize in Sugar Cubes Weekly contest. She gave me a 5 ! And an awardicon so that made me feel better.

Sore throat day 😷

Woke up with a very sore throat. Didn’t go swimming this morning, but still walked Lucy.
Sooo, a good excuse to catch up with the lessons. Reviewed two newbies, waiting for feedback from Hannah 😥
