I saw a meme the other day, and all of the talk about AI brought it to mind:

We shouldn't only worry about Artificial Intelligence, as we haven't conquered Natural Stupidity yet.

Or something along those lines. Ok, snarky-ness over.

I actually think you have a good point. Today's society seems to not only welcome, but encourage natural stupidity. A case in point is if you watch Funniest Home videos, many of the clips feature natural stupidity that is supposedly "funny" even if it's something like some adrenaline junkie getting hurt. At least that's my viewpoint.
Perhaps if they could, through hypnosis, implant AI over the stupidity, things would balance out. On second thought, maybe not; there is nothing worse than IS (intelligent-stupidity)*Laugh**Laugh**Laugh*
Massive Friendly Derg Author Icon - it seems there is an interrelation between smart devices and human stupidity; the more smart devices we have, the more stupid people we have.
