I was on a roll today with the competitor title analysis of three novels today. Of all the tangible books I have at my disposal, only three were of even comparison to the novel I have written. I also managed to shorten the first analysis to 200 words today, next up...Things Change by Patrick Jones and The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. Then onto the 10-12 page synopsis of each chapter...sounds daunting but I am up for the challenge. |
After 2 days of taking a step away from the novel and working on the book proposal, I finished the chapters titles. I do not plan on using them in the finished product but is intended to cultivate the hook for editors. For those of you that have read the four chapters and the snippet from chapter 5, I changed the titles of Chapters: 1, 8, 10 and 16. After careful review of the details in each, I think the change is a better fit. "Invalid Item" "Invalid Item" "Invalid Item" "Invalid Item" |
I finished updating Chapter 16 fixing the present and past tangles. "Invalid Item" This chapter was fun to write and the films that I viewed to inspire it. |
I am in the middle of watching Young Lady Chatterley of 1977, and this has to be my favorite of the adult films. It has a believable plot, seduction and the most surprising...humor in this multi-chronism film. This has to be one of the handful of films in this category that hits all three. My favorite part is the food scene had me laughing so hard. |
Hello, I just edited My Sister's Shoe and wanted to let anyone that already read it, that I fixed errors. Thanks. "Invalid Item" |
Passing along a trick passed along to me. When you want to post a notice about one of your pieces, use the "{bitem:" format. As soon as you get the colon down, the site will give you a drop-down list of your works. Highlighting will follow your cursor. Click on the item and you will get it's number and a closing bracket. Outside of an edit window, like this one, you will see a display similar to the one on your portfolio page. It will also serve as a link. You can go to my Notebook and scroll down to see the note ruwth left me on linking. She gave me samples and did a really fine job organizing the info. |
For just joining Writing.com, I have just read and reviewed my 50th. There should be cake and presents or something. In the very least one of those half damp fireworks duds. You know the ones I am talking about. They fizzle out just at the point when the pretty sparkles should happen. Happy 50th Read and Review for me, you look like a monkey and you.... That's not right, is it? Wrong song. |
My dog died today. I woke up and put food in Honey's bowl, she didn't give the usual response. You know the response...once the clinking sound hits the empty dish, on her feet lickety split. That didn't happen, "Honey, food." No movement. I could see most of her laying by the basement steps but not her head. So, I opened the gate and stepped inside and when I touched her, I knew. I wasn't surprised for I knew the moment I placed the food in her dish. My dog died today. Honey--- Born 2005- Died August 10th, 2018 (p.s. Now I know why writers and editors like the double-spaced of of what they are reading or writing. It really is so much easier to read. When you change it to reading mode, is that the double-spaced version? If not, then it should be.) |
Already downloading the movie
