My fantastic news Friday just went flushing down. Wife was rushed from the Nursing Rehab center back to the Hospital. Labored breathing, High WBC @18, Creatnine at 3.1. Irregular heartbeat and that's not including the long covid, COPD of her lungs. This time she may not make it. Worse I've ever seen her. *Cry*

Spud Author Icon - Thank you.
Praying for you both. I went through something similar with my mom. I was her healthcare power of attorney. Whe the time came I had to sign the DNR for her she begged me. They wouldn't let her.

SandraLynn Author Icon - Without a doubt. I've had and interacted with enough cats to have learned that much. *Smile*
Even if they are nuts!
BernadetteOntong Author Icon - All cats are. It's what I love about them. They match my own lunacy. *Bigsmile*

George, for all his bluster and the political commentary within his writing. He offered a wealth of excellent advice for those who suffer from a writing bug bite. He was not big on interviews and only allowed a few (less than 10 for the BBC in the early 1940s, and fewer than 40 in lectures and printed forms centered around his works like 1984 and Animal Farm).

I find myself in awe of the truth I see in these few comments on our craft. I particularly like the one about

"One should never consider a manuscript finished until one has edited it at least fifty times. Anything less and one can consider their efforts trash and obliged to toss it in the nearest dustbin."

I understand George Orwell's comment is from his writings about Animal Farm.

Ooh, I like this attitude much more than the "you must be tortured and chaotic to produce Art" one!
citruspocket Author Icon - It sounds more palatable. *Smile*
