I have an important question I must pose to this community!
Who is your favorite, Batman or Superman? Why?
I am doing an English 101 persuasive essay on who is better. I need all the data I can to prove or disprove my own opinion. Please, no hate, only debate and opinions . 10 GP to anyone who participates!
While superpowers are cool, I'd have to say Batman.
1) I'm a Marvel fan not DC (so all my fav super-powered heroes aren't in this world) and
2) Batman gets the job done without the superpowers. He's human. No powers. Which is very cool in the superpower world. Yes, he has cool toys and is super rich ... it's not something he has to do, but steps up to the plate anyway.
Batman for the simple reason of he isn't invincible. Superman has only one weakness and it get old and it the tired god complex story. When he is around, no one else (usually) can save the day. Batman has weakness, Batman has more emotions to me. Pretty much superman is have kryptonite = defeat, no kryptonite = superman wins.
Batman can defeated, batman must use his head instead of just show up. Just like in a book, if your hero has a the "Hero complex" as I call it (being too good at everything and almost no flaws ) makes the story just boring.
Though, if your asking witch is the best superhero overall.... I'm still voting Ironman just my two cents. If you need me to clarify my thoughts shoot me a email.
It's always a huge elegant white dragon. though it is fierce looking with long talons and fangs, it projects a serene presence. It's eyes alternate from silver to gold, and it's huge wings spread from it's body like open arms ready to embrace me.
Now I normally never remember my dreams, but this dragon, of the three times I have seen it, remains one of my most vivid dreams to date. The first time was when I was fourteen, in the middle of my first semester of high school and I can still recall every detail, and it was after that dream that I got serious about my writing. The second was three years ago, just before I moved out of parents house. And now again, during another huge change in my life. This time however, it didn't speak, it simply looked at me. Previously it has spoken, answered questions or told me some great destiny awaits me. But it said nothing, even when I asked, until just before I woke up. I thought I heard the words.
"Your dream of me will become real."
I have searched in vain for the meaning of this dragon, from astrology to dream meanings to mythology. I can find no mention of anyone seeing a dragon in a similar way, unless it's buried in cyberspace. Most I can find is the dragon in the background or as some malevolent presence. I have a few theories, one is that this dragon is the form my creativity takes in my dreams, but it feels deeper than that. And those last words? Dude what the hell? I can't even begin to figure that out. And I live alone so, unless my dog learned to talk and is trolling me, that had to have been my dream.
If anyone would like to weigh in or has any theories or can direct me to a reliable source to interpret dreams, please feel free. I wouldn't bother, but that last sentence kind of freaked me out.
P.S. I have never been diagnosed with a mental illness.
While my friends are on Facebook and Vine, taking a quiz on what kind of shoe they are or watching a cat video, I'm over here, researching the decomposition of the human body over the course of two years and how long it takes for someone to die of dehydration.
So I got an incredible gift from someone on here last night, but it was anonymous so I can't thank whoever gave it to me. So I thought I'd send this out along the feed. Thank you very much to whoever gifted me an upgraded membership. I am truly grateful and I will utilize it as much as I possibly can. Truly I do appreciate it. I'll pass on the good fortune once I have the opportunity..
Anyone know where I might find a few good beta readers? I've been trying to find people to read the book I am trying to publish. I have a few friends who have promised to read the book, but you know life happens and my book isn't really very high on their list of priorities. It would be nice to get a few good readers to give me some good feedback on it.
Hi there brimstone&chocolate welcome to WDC ! I couldn't help but notice while looking around your port that you have a couple Anime's on your favorite show list, one of which is in my all-time bests list (Fullmetal) Have I discovered a fellow anime nerd!?! Looking forward to reading your work, and if you need anything just ask!
Thanks, I'm more of a dabbler than a nerd, I like a handful of Anime, but not so much that I can confidently count myself among them, but I am a huge fan of Fullmetal and Souleater and especially Fairy Tail. I hope you enjoy reading my stuff too!
I am picky about the ones I like. Fairy Tale is good, but I never did get into Souleater. I told my little sister to watch Deathnote and it's safe to say I have turned her into a nerd.
Yeah, my best friend is the one who got me into Anime, she corrupted me, hahaha, but I've never been able to get into Deathnote, mostly because the main character gets on my nerves with his god-complex, but that's something i really like about anime, there are so many different types and styles. I really like the ones with an involved story and fun but serious characters, and lots of action with layers of subplots. I'm glad your little sister likes it though, it's nice when you and your siblings have something in common that you can do together.
Hi there nerds, newbie comin' at ya, like probie newbie. Anyway wanted to say hi and encourage you lot to read my work, which has never seen the light of day because I was/am an insecure author who is wanting to get published . . .someday. I don't have much yet but I will, with the help of my furry writing buddy, Jethro, and coffee, lots of coffee. That elixir of life that we all take for granted.
