I decided to take advice from everyone who reviewed this short story. They suggested it would make a great first chapter of a novel, so I am making this Chapter One. I left this story in my Short Story folder, (with a link to my book), as well as having it posted in my Novels folder. I have posted Chapter Two, and it is ready for reviews.

This week, I finished fleshing out the full outline for my novel, "The Lost Legend." I also finished my second edit of Chapter One, which I believe to be a much better draft, having spent some time away from it. I'd love a few reviews on the new version, and it is a new version, although not all of it has changed. It's amazing what I can get done when I'm not working. I've had a productive week, but alas, it's back to work tomorrow. "Hi ho, hi ho!" |
Giving poetry a go...again.

One of three stories I've been working on for weeks:

It's been a long time since I've been here in WDC or done any serious writing for that matter, but I have just started working on my two favorite stories/novels again. I hope to get a short story or two done in the next few weeks as well. My goal is to get some inspiration over the next few months. While I'm working seven days a week now, I still plan to keep at it as much as I can. It took me weeks to get this first draft re-written. It's not perfect, but it's a lot more fleshed out, and I think it's a much better attempt at the opening chapter.

Congratulations!
