Her other horse was Blaze. When she would ride she felt Free with the wind blowing hard as she blazed at a fast gallop. tracker |
RE: Freewind's 23rd Anniversary. If you are here to wish her a happy anniversary, I am sorry to let you know Freewind (Ann) passed away on May 2, 2017 from cancer. She was a friend of mine. Recently, her husband said he would mail in a copy of her death certificate to the StoryMaster. I hope he does so I can get her a white case. Sent him another messenger note today requesting paper. tracker |
Dear Ann aka Freewind aka Freewind Gingerblaze, Thank you for the wonderful years of writing together at Open Diary. You taught me to understand and appreciate poetry. You were very patient when I would text you to share a few rudimentary poems I wrote when I was an insomniac for months. Talking to you each night before your husband got home from his second shift was memorable. Your southern accent was a little bit of a barrier. I never did get quite used to it. You talked so fast. Thank you for introducing this WdC site. I am sorry I did not become more active. You kind of told me that it was for real authors and not a casual writer like I am. I did come back from time to time though. Especially after you died. I just wanted to read your work over and over. I have copies of the 5 books you published. I only read them once and amazingly remember what they were about. I have a very poor memory. I am sorry I was not able to get you a white case. I think your stuff will just remain on here because they have free accounts. You are not taking up much room. But wow were you a giant in my eyes as my mentor and most of all as my dear friend. Rest in Peace, my dear friend Love, tracker |
Following up. Freewind's husband has not sent a copy of her death certificate. I have exhanged messages with him for over nearly two months. He has not provided it so I am not able to get her a white case at this time. In the event he does sent it I will refer to the white case memorial process. I have posted before advising she passed away. No one came forward. I still think she should be memorialized with a white case. I posted in the technical support forum to see why can't use another method to prove it is her and she is gone and was told people actually have faked their deaths or of another to see what the community action would be. I think this is deplorable. There are no exceptions so I am just leaving my thoughts here. Ann, aka Freewind, was a wonderful poet and writer. She published 5 books that Amazon states are unavailable. I bought each one when I first met her at Open Diary. com. She taught me how to interpret poetry. I wrote rudimentary poems. She gave me feedback on every one of them. I received one snail mail birthday card which I treasure. We talked just about every weekday late at night while she waited for her husband to get home from his late shift at a local restaurant where he was the head chef. I wish she had posted more of her work here. I miss you Ann. I tried my best to add you to the many who have white cases. |
