Going old school using pen, lined paper, and cursive is best. Play softly some classical music in the background, like Mozart or Hayden's string quartet, to coax the artist within you out.
Don't worry about spelling or punctuation. Write out what you want people to know in any order that comes out of the pen. Later, you can reflect on what sounds best while your reading/reviewing it.
Have fun, and be excited about writing your first book!
